At La Cruz del Camino, in Araya, there is the start and also the finish of this circular route, which is the sum of a number of footpaths which are known by the names of Igonce, Piedras de Carcho, El Luchón and Barranco La Gotera. However, as this is a circular footpath, you can begin from any point. The majority of the route is linked to the agriculture of the inland areas, which is visible in the significant heritage which is observed in the landscape: water-channels, ponds and drinking-troughs. What is more, other resources of importance are several “tosca” (tuff) ovens to dry fruit and the Finca de las Haciendas, a place of great heritage value due to the existence of a building designed in the Canarian tradition and a wine-press. On reaching the Parque Recreativo de Los Brezos, the walker has the opportunity of making a stop in order to rest, eat and visit the Chapel of San Isidro.
